OUR ROOTS

In 2002, Didier Claes opened his first gallery in the famous Sablon district of Brussels, where he would display fine art objects from major Western collections. Using his knowledge and experience in the field, he participated in major international events while bolstering his credibility in Europe and America. The gallery would adapt in 2017, moving to a prestigious space in the Louise district.

Established in Brussels for over 25 years, the Didier Claes gallery has decided to broaden its skills and offer a platform dedicated to emerging collectors who wish to acquire beautiful, high-quality and authentic items. In an ever-changing market, we aim to provide an appropriate, customised response to anyone wishing to explore the world of art. In order to make art accessible to all, Young Collector sells works valued for their aesthetic beauty and historical significance at prices more affordable for buyers who are still risk-averse or new to the field.

This platform, which is totally transparent about origins and prices, gives you the opportunity to purchase an item in one click. We thus offer the possibility to showcase the cultures of classical Africa to a new audience and give our existing customers a simple way of expanding their collections. Didier Claes Young Collector guarantees the authenticity and origin of each item through a certificate of authenticity.

YOUNG COLLECTOR: A MEETING PLACE OPEN TO CULTURAL EXCHANGES

The platform is open to art-based discussion and sharing. The gallery remains open to explore items which may have been seen on the site and the team remains at your disposal for any questions. All requests and budgets will be handled in the same way, whether you’re a beginner collector or a long-time expert. The works will include old favourites but also unexpected discoveries, always with an underlying commitment to excellence. Sharing our passion for art and these exquisite, historically rich works is our main concern, because we know how wonderful it is to be surrounded by such beautiful treasures.

NEW GENERATION

jessica@youngcollector.art

A graduate of the Insitut Saint-Luc contemporary art school, Jessica has in-depth experience in the field of culture. After having worked for a long time in contemporary galleries, Jessica has now turned her attention back to the past. After an intensive apprenticeship in primitive arts under the Claes brothers and a course at the Art & History Museum in Brussels, Jessica took charge of monitoring and analysing the antiquities of the Didier Claes gallery. While taking care of organising public and private events, she works closely with Alexandre Claes in customer care. Boasting a wealth of new experiences and eager to promote classical African art to a wider audience, Jessica Quarato is launching YOUNG COLLECTOR alongside Didier Claes while also managing it.
